mixed media - acrylic & extra heavy gel

Another expression using my palette knife and the extra heavy gel for sculpting the pitcher and tulips. After the gel dried I painted over it with a little more gel to thicken the acrylic. I enjoyed working with the reflected colours on the pitcher, the table top and the wall behind the still life.

I love the name of this painting!!! It reminds me of a riot of flowers...and the brushstrokes and gel medium has given it such an unrefined texture. I have been exploring the effects that I can create with the gel medium using a palette knife and found it to be exciting process.
